HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a student-led organization that hosts state, national, and international competitions focused on various aspects of healthcare, from Medical Terminology to Biochemistry to even Public Speaking and Health Education and more. Not only will we hold frequent sessions to prepare for conferences, but we will also hold informative speaker events and general events to help guide students through their high school journey in preparing for healthcare careers. StuyHOSA goes beyond the Stuyvesant community and gives students the opportunity to earn awards endorsed by a nationally recognized organization.
Activity Status
Commitment
During off-season periods, we will meet once every two weeks. However, in the weeks leading to a conference, meetings will be held at least twice per week to allow students to adequately prepare for their competitions. StuyHOSA will consistently meet every month, whether that is through a smaller, club-focused meeting or a large school-wide event.
